M. is a Russian psychoanalyst, psychologist and medical doctor, MD (1983), PhD (1991), Professor (1993), the Meritorious Scientist of Russian Federation (2010), the Rector of the East-European Psychoanalytic Institute (St-Petersburg, Russia) since 1991, Past-president of the European Confederation of Psychoanalytical Psychotherapies. He is an author of more than 200 works, including 12 monographs, on psychoanalysis, psychopathology and psychology of group behaviour in situations of military conflicts, techno-genic catastrophes, ecological and social crises.
